someone you may or may not be comfortable with touching you in ur private areas. its not that bad. the tool that they use in ur vagina actually sounds worse than it actually is. its not bad at all.

Its not comfortable, period. Its not a scream out loud kind of pain and you'll get over it. If you are sexually active it is just plain smart, even if you are only 13. They insert this thing into your vagina and it opens you up so they can just about reach in although another instrument actually does the reaching. How can that be comfortable by any stretch? (Pardon the pun) Then they lube up one hand and put it inside you and press on your lower belly with the other to feel your ovaries, That is not as bad though unless you have issues like maybe common tumors on you ovaries, or maybe you are coming up on your period. It may be best to schedule after your period rather then before. OH and they will also give you a breast exam. Which is them feeling your breast, no not caressing it, they move the tissue around to see if there are any lumps. They are feeling for what is up under the skin inside your breast. Some doctors are better at it then others. My regular family doctor gave me the easiest pap I have ever had. I was already familiar with him, he had a good sense of humor, we joked around the whole time. The nurses were laughing (I think one was a student)not about what was going on but stuff in general. It was quick, he was gentle, told me what was going on so I wasn't shocked at the discomfort of the thingy (speculum I think)opening. He made it all much less awkward by engaging conversation. When it was done we all High five-d each other! How much easier can you get right? If you are savy enough to have sex be savy enough to take care of yourself! Talk to your doctor! If you have questions ASK!! Believe me it is so unlikely that you will ever be able to come up with something he has not heard before.

Expect to be told to completely undress yourself to the nude and then have a full pelvic, breast, and rectal exam.
