Probably because white people really don't need much advancing. White people formed this country, and have had no trouble getting into colleges if they deserve to, and climbing professional ladders. But it is well known that people of other colors are sometimes at a disadvantage, if only because of racism and prejudices that exist. The NAACP will be necessary until those prejudices are gone, and when that happens, neither organization should have any reason to function.

The reality is today; that it is perfectly accptable to be a Racist; if you are Black. There is a perception that some groups have a special "privilidge". (for instance Gypsy's claim they have been given "permission to steal" because a Gypsy stole the last Nail that was to go into Jesus' Heart.) Young Blacks believe they are OWED compensation for the period of Slavery in the Americas. They mis-understand History. Historically; Slavery has been perevelant through all races and cultures. In the Ancient world: Greece, Rome, Bysantia, Egypt et al. If a citizen left their homestate (like a county today) they could be subject to being captured and become Slaves. It was the same in Asia, Europe, and Britain. The slaves were known as Surfs; and were OWNED by the property owners; who ruled numerous small Kingdoms. (Some were soldiers & had to fight & die for their Kingdoms). In Meso-America as the City States grew; nearly everyone was in slavery. In the rest of the Americas, Islands & Africa; the small kingdoms were generally tribes. They captured and enslaved the members of other tribes. It was these African Slaves who were first brought to this new Country; carrying their Slavery with them. But here they had the right to buy themselves Free; just like the indentured Irish and the prisoners who Colonized Austrailia. Every Country has a history of Slavery in their past. Even Kings and Emperors have been enslaved by their Conquorers. Our modern Country is not obligated to recompense for the inequities of History. (If we did that we'd have to give the Country back to the Native American Tribes.) On the other hand; once emancipated; former Black Slaves DID have the FREEDOM to return as Free Men & Women; to the home of their ancestry. But most chose to stay; and be a part of this Country like all the other immigrints. This was Their CHOICE; NOT our Debt! Today we need to look towards a future of "Equality for everyone; special privilidge for none". If we condemn Racism; and seperatism; we need to condemn ALL Racism; and not to be like Orwell's "Animal Farm". where ALL (animals) are Equal" but some; "are more equal that others". YES! it IS Racist to have a Black Miss America Pagent; Black Entertainer Awards; Black Image Awards; Black Businessman ect. ect. (as well as all the "Black" TV Shows; with ONLY Black cast members; when all "White" TV shows are no longer permitted.) and YES! the NAAWP is not any more Racist than the NAACP.

I wouldn't consider it racist, but I would consider it unnecessary. Whites have not been systematically enslaved, disenfranchised (at least the males), segregated, and oppressed by US society. People of color have.

It would not be racist in my mind and I would not care, however, you could file that under the Department of Redundancy Department. America has been for the advancement of white people all of this time.
