How "over it" do you have to be before you walk away from a loved one? Examples?

From a lover or partner? Pretty over it. But maybe not entirely. A little easier when you consider there are other fish in the sea. When you consider you can always go back. From any loved one? Seriously over it. Seriously weary and done trying. I walked away from my father about 5 years ago. Wasn't easy. But I was done with the mental and emotional manipulation. I was done with the dread every time the phone rang. I was done trying to negotiate between my happy and healthy life with my husband and my fathers craziness. Offered him resources to get help and told him not to contact me until he did.
