Jesus is, and was, a Jew. If he was alive - which I seriously doubt - he would still be Jewish, yes. You are still fundamentally "you", even in death and the beyond. Those details do not become defunct or insignificant, as they are a part of who you are. Part of why Jesus was crucified is because he was a Jew. He died for who he was - if he were still around today, I'm sure he would still proudly be declining pork based hors d'oeuvre's and observing the Sabbath.

I know that the line from Adam to Mary was fiercely protected so that Jesus could come. The 'Jews' were [(chosen)] for that reason - not because they were/are somehow special... They are 'special' as I am 'special' but not in the sense of 'better'. If my car is broken I would not fix my neighbours car to get mine to work again... Jesus did not have an earthly father and because they use a Matriarchal system (having descent traced through the female line) the validity of his Jewishness is passed through the mother, so yes the body aspect of Jesus is a still a Jew.

Jesus is alive. He was resurrected and ascended to the heavens to sit at the right hand of his Father. As Peter, said at Acts, Chapter 4: “Rulers of the people and older men, if we are this day being examined, on the basis of a good deed to an ailing man, as to by whom this man has been made well, let it be known to all of YOU and to all the people of Israel, that in the name of Jesus Christ the Naz•a•rene´, whom YOU impaled but whom God raised up from the dead, by this one does this man stand here sound in front of YOU. This is ‘the stone that was treated by YOU builders as of no account that has become the head of the corner.’ Furthermore, there is no salvation in anyone else, for there is not another name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must get saved.” Jesus was a Jew, showed love toward Jews, confined his preaching to Jews, healed the diseases of many Jews, forgave the sins of many Jews, and when he laid down his life it was for Jews as well as for others. How could any intelligent person read just one page of Jesus’ words recorded in any one of the Gospels and still think the religious murderers of the Middle Ages represented Christ Jesus? When did he ever assail the Jews with false charges, or rouse rabble elements against them, or forcibly baptize them? When did he ever burn a Jew at the stake for not accepting him as Messiah? The Jesus of the Bible is so different from the one taught by orthodox religions of Christendom. If Jews will investigate this difference, learn of it, it will chip off much of the falsehood that makes Jesus such a stumbling stone to them. Their cause for stumbling will shrivel. They will see Jesus as he was and is, not as false Christians represent him to be. Christianity rests on a Jewish foundation; all the apostles and early disciples of Jesus were Jews. Though the majority of these Jewish Christians were drawn from the humbler walks of life, many of them were formerly scribes and priests and Pharisees. (Acts 6:7; 15:5) Jesus is the King and High Priest in heaven over the new nation of spiritual Israel, it having its birth on that very Pentecostal day when the “holy spirit fell upon” the baptized disciples of Jesus Christ, about 120 of them. (Acts 11:15) These had waited, not at the temple, but in an upper room in Jerusalem. There those disciples, already immersed in water, were begotten by God’s spirit to become his spiritual children, “the Israel of God.” As such they were introduced into the new covenant through the heavenly Mediator, Jesus Christ, the Prophet greater than Moses This is kind of a deep subject, so if you look in the Bible at these scriptures.—Acts 2:1-36; Joel 2:28, 29; John 3:3, 5; Gal. 6:16, you will see what I am saying. So Jesus Christ in heaven is the Mediator between God and the spiritual Israelites.

The Catholic Church affirms the Jewish heritage of both Jesus and Christianity, "To the Jews belong the sonship, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the worship, and the promises; to them belong the patriarchs, and of their race, according to the flesh, is the Christ.' For more information, see the Catechism of the Catholic Church, sections 839 and following: http://www.usccb.org/catechism/text/pt1sect2chpt3art9p3.htm#839 With love in Christ.

Yes because he lived his life and died as a Jew. Christians worship Jesus and adhere to his teachings.

OK hate to be the naysayer here but since those of the Jewish religion do not believe that Jesus was the son of God, it would be counter-intuitive to say he would still be a Jew by their current standards. Either he's a Jew and he is just a prophet (as Jews believe), or he a Christian and the son of God. The only other option would be a really bad self esteem issue...

HIS lineage was Jewish...and that said, it has absolutely NOTHING to do with HIS being the Messiah, OUR Saviour....HE died for us ALL...all that come to HIM, atheists, Islam, Jew, Christian, etc....
-
IMO, Jesus is God, the Father is God, and the Spirit is God.
-
Jesus is very much alive and He was a Jew when He was on earth but now that He is glorified, Him being Jewish may have no meaning.
-
yes, HIS heritage through mother & father, but would HE still be worshipping with the Jewish HIGH PRIESTS, NO....HE argued with them too many times on THEIR teachings....
-
Naw, he became a born-again Southern Baptist and is now living in Alabama
