If it is my floor....I give it at least 10 seconds. Others floor, I pick it up and give it the toss.
-
I never used to... but now I have 2 little kids. As long as it is dropped on my kitchen floor, the rule is put to use. If I didn't they wouldn't get much out of a meal! ;-)
-
usually I do - depends on the floor... but only with "dry" foods... nothing wet or sticky...
-
Yeah but you really shouldn't germs are germs according to the experts!! But hey a cookie is a cookie if I drop it I want to eat it!!
-
5? I've always lived by a 10 second rule, and maybe longer if it is something I really wanted.
-
I don't eat anything that hits my floors. I can sweep and vacuum all day and I would never get them as clean as I want. Two cats a dog and a teenager leave a lot of dander and dirt all over.
-
Hey some of us eat off the floor. *cough* Not me though. ;-) They did this on mythbusters if its dry food not a problem if its wet I just get rid of it.
-
If it touches the floor, it next goes in the trash.....unless it's real costly and I can wash it off. If I drop a raw steak, I'm not dumping it!
-
not anywhere but at home
-
Is that the "5 second rule" or the "5 second kiss-it-up-to-God" rule? I always get them confused.
-
Sometimes... but if it's a sticky food, I'll break out the rags and the 409!!! Our three dogs live outdoors, thank heavens!!!!!!!
-
Depends on where I'm at. If it's home and I just washed the floor it's all good. A friend's or family member's house is the same. I just wash it off and enjoy. Out in public no way.
-
No. The cat walks on that floor. Gawd only knows what she's "done" on it.
-
in my home the 5 second rule has been abolished...i have an extremely fast and hungry rat terrier.therefore nothing stays on the floor long enough for the 5 second rule to be followed.
-
No. I will throw it away.
-
Only at home.
