  • Yeah i did that with the local paper about a month ago
  • Yes i have.
  • Yes, I ran into a friend at a bookstore recently. We chatted away and left the store. To my horror, when I got to my car I realized I had a book tucked under my arm. I hurried back to pay for it.
  • I walked out with a CD purchase in one hand and a CD carrying case, unpurchased in the other - its handle swinging back and forth from my other hand like a baton. I actually got yelled at from the store guard who knew me for years and reminded me what I had done. Nothing happened. I went back in and purchased it (didn't really want it tho).
  • Forty years ago, biking home from the Ben Franklin, I reached into my pocket and was horrified to discover a bunch of rubber bands that I'd absent-mindedly pocketed when something else in the aisle attracted my attention. I still remember the shock and fear, and pedaled back as fast as I could to return it to its place.
  • Yea some gum
  • Yes ! I stopped at a 7-11 store and bought several things and my hands were full. I had picked up a single wrapped chocolate covered cherry in the store and had it in my left hand . I had paid for everything except for the cherry( Not Realizing it was in my hand), and walked out. I didn't get all the way home , but, got inside my truck and realized that I hadn't paid for the cherry. I walked back into the store and told the clerk that I hadn't paid for the cherry and needed to pay. He looked at me so strangley as if he was shocked , but,I've never stolen anything in 43 years and I'm not about to start now ;-) Even IF I had got home with it, I would have driven back to the store.
