Do you like real wood furniture or the Particle board ones you have to put together?

Particle Board is crap in my opinion. I wouldn't even allow residents in a third world country to own particle board furniture. It's the real thing for me, knock on wood.

This is the way i see it. The Furniture in a box is basically the punishment of being poor and can't afford the real wood. LOL

I prefer real wood furniture I construct myself from dimensional lumber over anything from particle board prefab kits. I don't always have all the necessary tools handy, and it takes a little longer, sometimes, but my homemade stuff lasts and doesn't smell like cat pee for months. I usually sand it to a nice finish, paint or stain it as might fit, and apply a few coats of aerosol urethane. My stuff will hold up under stresses and strains that will crumble lesser constructions, and it looks and feels better for a lot longer.

I'm making it my life's mission to make people think that presswood equals status. I moved furniture for nine years, and, while the presswood stuff is a bitch because it falls apart, it's a HELL of a lot lighter.

Real wood you cant beat a nice piece of polished oak,flat packed junk falls to bits in no time real wood will out live you.
