When a company wants salary history, how should I answer? And where should it be on the resume?

After each description of a position you've held, give the starting salary and ending salary at that position, e.g.: Maynard G. Crebbs, Inc March 1990 - August 1990 Associate Beachcomber. Collected driftwood. $5.50 per hour August 1990 - December 1992 Promoted to Beachcomber 1. Collected driftwood and waxed surfboards. $12,000 - $14,200 annually Driftwood, Inc. December 1992- June 2002 Driftwood furniture salesperson. $17,000 - $28,900 + commission Another acceptable way is to add a list at the end of your resume, before the page listing references (if you are including that): Dobey Gillis 150 Beachfront Street Santa Monica, CA 90441 555-1212 Salary History March 1990 - August 1990, company, position, range of salary August 1990 -December 1992, company, position, range of salary December 1992- June 2002, company, position, range of salary DO NOT offer this salary info unless and until it is requested.
