  • That stuff has been on and off the market for many years. I can remember it in the 80's. It has never really caught on big because, yes, it can be a bit unhealthy, particularly for anyone with chemical sensitivies. I don't recommend it at all. ----- Edited because I remembered this: It has never been really popular in the states, but I do remember it being somewhat popular in the U.K., in Germany and especially in France.
  • It depends on what chemicals are used to scent it. I would be highly mistrustful of any scented toilet paper that used artificial chemicals to achieve it's odor, but if this scented TP is made with natural essential oils, it *Might* be healthy to use. Some essential oils are virtually harmless, whereas some others have (At the very least) astringent properties that are less than desirable for, er... Down there, and at the very most toxic properties that could be severely harmful if accidentally absorbed through mucus membranes over even a relatively short period of time. Before purchasing or using scented toilet paper, I'd need to do a lot of research to find out exactly what had been added to it, and what properties those treatments had. Really, I don't think all that effort and risk is worth it just for a little hint of lavender in the loo.
  • I can't even use colored toilet paper let alone any with fragrance. probably too much information there, huh? LOL
  • If your recall years ago, the toilet paper people came out with different pastel shades of toilet paper. the dyes, in the paper, caused infections in many women. They lost their butt on that idea.(pls pardon my french)
  • There are scented feminine products too. I always wonder how healhty they are.
  • I LOVE my scented Charmin, which I can't find anymore. The scent was on the roll, not the tissue. I liked the colored paper too. I guess I was one of the people who the dyes didn't affect. But if they take everything off the market that is potentially bad for us, why is there still tobacco, non-organic fruit and veges, and beef and chicken?? Or deodorant for that fact, they are scented... just a point....I want my charmin back....
