  • Well, essentially, negative energy is swallowed up by our psyche's because positivity is so much harder for us to accept. We are susceptable to pain, and suffering, and hate. We focus on the negative, because like it's like a black hole...it just eats away at our surroundings, and can snuff out the little light we find in our lives. My advice...smile. The person that's radiating this black hole of emotion is likely to find a bit of light in this, and maybe, just maybe...the tension will ease slightly.
  • I noticed that too. We are sensitive to pain both physical an emotional. Apparently a bad vibe is stronger than a positive vibe. I can't really tell you more but I will speculate that perhaps this is a defense mechanism that date back to stone age times. It would be more important that everyone gets concerned about imminent disaster and the grief that it entails rather than the rare occasion of communal happiness.
  • its like with heat energy, if there is a cold region, it will take energy from its surrounding to become equal with them. people take positive energy when they have negative energy to become equal with their surroundings. i'm not very good at explaining so sorry if you don;t get it.
  • That depends on the state of the particular psyche. As a rule, many of us may be more susceptible to negative influences than positive because most of us live in surroundings that can be very stressful, oppressive, and in general, just not conducive to good mental and emotional health. We don't usually notice because the kind of environment that *Would* be most conducive to positivity are, in logical terms, unrealistic and virtually unattainable in this reality. However, it is possible to tune yourself to be more responsive to the positive vibes in your life, and absorb negativity without letting it alter your mood or mindset too much. A lot of people tend to fall into the trap of letting negativity from others around them get to them and lock them into a cycle of negativity, which, if not cut off, becomes self-perpetuating. At any given point, the line between life being a positive or negative experience overall for you lies at the point when you stop for a moment and say "I choose to be positive and happy", once you can make that choice and really accept all the positive energy around you, there's just not enough emotional bandwidth left to be overly negative.
  • It doesn't. It depends on what YOU are open to. Like attracts like. Keep those vibes up!
  • we absorb negative energy because we have negativity inside of us & the two negatives attract each other to create a snowball effect & get bigger, more powerful, just like a puddle of water stretches out to reach the individual drop of water and join with it. If you are mostly a positive person, however, you would be able to create more & more positivity, again like a snowball, even whilst you emmanate and give it to others, there´s always enough so there´s no need to absorb so much. If you´re positive you´d be more likely to focus on protecting yourself and warding off negativity than absorbing positivity.
