Not much of a cook? Okay it is really easy, wash it,poke a couple holes in it, wrap in foil, put in a 400 degree oven, bake until it squeezes soft.Or put in the micro w/out the foil of coarse!

# Pre-heat oven to 450°F. Wash and dry potatoes. # With a fork or sharp knife, pierce each potato 2 or 3 times. # Place on cookie sheet or baking pan. Bake 50 to 60 minutes or until tender when pierced with a fork. But I prefer the microwave method, since its really easy, especially when making a potato.. just for yourself. Just wash it, poke a couple holes in it and put it in the microwave for a couple minutes until soft. :D

Preheat your oven to 375-400°F. Pick out good solid IDAHO or RUSSET potatoes. Poke them with slender holes 2 or 3 times. Place them right on the racks themselves, no foil so you aren't steaming them. Bake for about 1 hour, till a fork poked is goes in easily and they are nice and fluffy. Serve immediately. If you want a true baked potato, don't do it in the microwave. You will only get a steamed potato and not a nice dry heat baked one. The dry heat really helps it get fluffy and good.
