I think you could fit separatist and segregation in there between them and still keep the outward appearance that you aren't being racist. Whenever one country or race or nation decides that its' ways are best and that everyone else should look just like them, then they are on the path

While there are parallels between the two, their directions are different enough to make that an apples-and-orange statement. That said, I will concede that both Patriotism and Racism can lead to discrimination and outright hatred against those not of the "right" group.... like Military versus Civilian.

No more than your hatred for the US's policies is racist... even less so, because patriotism doesn't necessarily step from admiration of your country's policies.
