Well, if not Wisconsin, it would of been another equally boring state like Kansas or Tennessee. Just the way the world is.

There's nothing to do here but drink! In my town..there's two grocery stores, one gas station and 5 bars. There's only ONE stoplight in our whole county.

all the German heritage is a big part of it. I also think that the college system contributes to it. the university of wisconsin system has a campus in just about every decent size town, the means that there are lots of smaller campuses that lots of kids go to where they are not near friends/family, so they are looking for social functions just to meet people, and there is usually alcohol at those. or maybe it is as simple as that we like to drink more than others
