  • Go home and take care of every last cent of my debt, and be grateful that Karma hit me so hard in a good way.
  • Take it home and keep it. Straight up.
  • Report it and see if anyone claims it and if no one does, I would keep it. Someone might reward you in return for turning it in.
  • Look around then run like hell to my house!
  • I really, really like to think I'd turn it in...but couldn't I take it as a sign that I should pay off my debt? What if I donated some to charity? Would that make it okay?
  • I would hold onto it until the news report came out, stating who lost it and the reward etc, then I would decide from there wheather to turn it in or keep it.
  • Give half to charity (that way I won't feel bad) then I would keep the rest.
  • I would notify the police. I would hope someone would do the same if I lost a bag of money. Another scenario could be some bank robber dropped his loot!
  • Take it to the police station, boldly pronounce "I'm an idiot for doing this" and put the bag on the desk. I think if things like that go unclaimed for 2 weeks or so then it's yours. But something like that would almost certainly be linked to some sort of criminal activity and I wouldn't really want that on my hands without jumping through the proper hoops. There may be a reward for returning it, and if nothing else it'd probably land me on some talk shows that pay.
  • Pay a few bills, pay off my car, pay off my student loan. Pay close attention to the news and papers to see if anyone's lost the money, and if so, return the 175 000 that I have left. I'll call the rest a reward for being a good citizen.
  • As much as I could use the money, I would take it to the police station! Hopefully it would go unclaimed and I'd get it back :)
  • I'd look for identifiers on the bag, in the bag, etc. If none, and no one around me had a frantic look on their face with eyes darting around, I'd assume I was the intended recipient. I would not take a bag of unidentifiable money to the police. Chances are I'd hang onto it for a bit. Certainly, if someone posted a notice and provided info (denominations & amt of money), I'd return it post haste. You know, I really could care less about the source of the money. The question for me is the future, not the past.
  • Grab it and run.
