  • It means you have a general hardware failure. It is a known problem that Microsoft is aware of and will cover it under warranty for 3 years. You need to bring it in for repairs. The newer X-box 360's do not have this problem as it's been worked out.
  • It'll be fine if you just follow these simple steps. NEVER USE THE "Towel Trick Method" it can be very bad for your Xbox. The most common way to fix it, is to send it to the factory. If you still have your warranty in tact, Microsoft will fix it for free, but it could take 4-6 weeks before you get your console back. Besides having to wait so long, you might not even get your original console back. Chances are they will send you a refurbished Xbox 360 console. If you don't have a warranty, they will still fix it, but it will cost you money. Over-all most gamers don't choose this repair method do to the time & money involved.
  • i have the solution. first u need to go to radioshack and purchase Arctic Silver 5. It should cost $9.49. I did it to my own 360 and it doesn't over heat any more
