My 2005 1400 2WD had both tie rods replaced and something in the steering column.

I had a "popping/clicking" sound when i turned the wheel, but could never isolate a side. I called GM, described the issue and they stated that there was a problem with the steering column. Something to do with the grease settling in the lower section. GM has changed the part to resolve the issue. This fixed my problem. Total cost:parts and labor was around $200.
