  • I absorb myself in a book, take a walk by myself, go for a swim or a run, play guitar or piano, hit a tennis ball against a wall, or sleep.
  • I am very very good at withdrawing from others..there is a place within to which I go when "the world is too much" with me..there is no room for anyone else..it is very quiet there..I go there when I need to sort things out..lick wounds..rethink what I think. I only emerge when I can move forward. I've done this as long as I can remember..it is a safety valve, a tool to give me space and time where no distractions divert my attention.
