  • When I need to feel good and have that "down home" moment, I eat mash potatoes like my mom made.
  • Phish food Ben and Jerry's
  • Popcorn and I have know clue why , I just like it
  • Emotional comfort is ice cream or chocolate... or both!! LOL Comfort food for being sick is creamy potato soup or ham and potato soup with some cheddar cheese on top. The ice cream and chocolate I think I was trained to crave... like Pavlov's Dog. LOLOL The soups were recipies that I decided to try when my kids were sick... and I got sick right after them, so the leftovers were available and simple and warm. I love both of those soups, but especially when I've got a bad head cold.
  • Wine and chocolate. It comes from my father, who loves wine too :o)
  • Fresh mozzarella cheese and prosciuto imported from Italy. Come from growing up in an italian family at least my dads side anyway.
  • chocolate does wonders. I think I inherited it from my mom.
  • Ice cream, I don't know why, just have to have it.
  • When I am upset, I can't eat.... so as for that definition of 'comfort food'... none. As for something I crave or 'go to' that is 'comforting'.... I'm weird, I like to open a can of peas and eat them straight from the can.... or I like dark chocolate.... or nutty bars lol If I am feeling ill... I love chicken noodle soup... I don't each much else when I am sick.
  • Mine are myriad...pasta, potatoes, popcorn,potato chips, pretzels..that's just the "P's"..:)
  • Well, I don't have a sweet tooth and I suppose I call myself pretty fortunate about that. BUT, it you put a potato in front of me, ANY potato, I'm like a kid who found themselves at Christmas when it wasn't even August yet! I believe it is all genetics (and nurture), actually. Father was from Ireland. [Potatoes!!] Mother from Yugoslavia. Both 'off the boat.' There was always some kind of stock a'simmerin' on the stove, great for that meals next batch of gravy! Oh my ... my mouth is watering!
