"Should" he? Well, that depends on his morals. Which you should have taught him by now. Bad dog! No! Down boy! "Could", "can" or "will" he ? Sure. Especially if he didn't lose 'um till after he was mature. Even if it was before that he can still get one. He might even attempt to mount a bitch. Or even another dog, sometimes its just a dominance thing. All that happened in the nuetering was that the factory got closed,(well, it really got removed) the fuel lines to the delivery system are still there, if a bunch a blood goes flowing into the right veins he's gonna get an erection. Ask anybody who used to be a three year old boy, and can remember that far back, the factory hadn't even even opened yet but sometimes the delivery system was ready for bizzness. It's nothing to worry about, it can be embarrassing in certain situations, " Come right in Reverend, uhh, don't mind the dog." There is a thing that we used to call a ..uh we called it a.. well we called it a "piss hard on" sometimes it really wasn't, in the morning when we woke up the hormones were raging, but sometimes all it took was "walkies." Well, actually we just went to the restroom. If it doesn't seem to be bothering him, and doesn't last a real long time, and dogs can have one for a REAL long time, lucky basta...uh... or bothering you too much don't worry too much about it. If it is lasting too long for you ask your vet. And even if he seems "interested" in it don't worry too much. Dogs will lick themselves in places we don't even wanta think about. It is mostly just cleaning. And now perhaps there is something to ask the vet. Could be the dog is getting a sense that some part needs some cleaning. And he may be trying to do that and stimulating hisself. Bad Dog! You'll go blind! You'll need a seeing eye man! Could be some irritation or even enfection trying to get started and he isn't really getting an erection so much as creating one. That's the only major concern I can see.You could inspect, but I'd have a vet look, I mean, "Boy, I sure wish I could do that." " Ya best not, that dog will bite youuuuuu." And I am not even gonna talk about them eunichs that were "guarding" the harems, it aint nothin' at all like what we was taught it was about.

I have a five year male poodle and he gets an erection and he's been neutered he goes through all the steps and even connects the only thing I'm worried about is my female getting pregnant I know it is impossible but stranger things have happened. Can someone give me some feedback Tks Linda

My 8 year old chihuahua was neutered when he was 2 and I have a female Yorkie-Apsa that just finished a heat cycle. My little chi was hooked up with her 4 times that I know about. I work full time so there was plenty of time for other occasions. I have been wondering if he has impregnated her. I thought that was what happened when they lock up. Is it possible without his kahunas, that he could make and pass sperm?

My Lab is nuetered, and he gets embarrassing, raging boners....In his defense, my gf is extremely hot! lol

Most neutered male dogs are still capable. Whether or not they "should" is a different story.
