What is the smallest motorcycle it is practical to add a Sidecar to if I want to have the capacity to potentially travel from St Louis to California within, say, a two week time period for such a trip? Thanks : )

Depends on the chair, there are some lightweight ones out there, but if you are serious touring a 500cc bike (minimum) or bigger with a standard chair is best.
