My children's school have Peer Group once a week where they address exactly these kind of problems and discuss ways to stop bullies and what to do if you are bullied. They teach children their rights to feel safe at school and what the consequences will be if you are caught bullying. It is still going to happen, it has happened to my boys but the level of bullying in the school has dropped significantly.

my guess would be because they dont really have time, and that some teachers dont care they just want to do there job and get paid. but i know my school did acually set everybody down and talked about it because there was ALOT of stealing and fighting and they kinda took care of it.

We do try! It's sometimes difficult with the example being set by parents these days. At one school in a pretty posh part of Surrey (UK) one child had the misfortune to have a dispute with a child from a very rough and very large family. Child B's uncles came into the school and beat Child A up in the playground!!!! I wouldn't blame you if you thought I was making that up! I'm not trying to push the blame onto society but, as long as the adults can't behave/are not punished, we can hardly expect the children to treat each other with decency.

Many schools do, and if they don't, they should. I am crusading for schools to teach many of the things that the parents are failing to teach at home, but I've got a long uphill battle ahead of me!
