  • The only way to increase the size and muscularity of calve muscle is weight training. The calve muscles are so strong that you will need to lift really heavy weights and do lots of sets and reps in order to make a difference. The size of one's calve muscle appears to be genetically determined. If you are born with small calve muscles, you will have a hard time making them much bigger. But you sure can make them much stronger if track and field is what you are into, and not body building.
  • Well first off you do not want big muscles for your running. Bigger muscles have less mobility. Its strenth and toness that counts.. its really hard to work out those groups because u walk on them daily and they are allready resistant to change. I suggest just a normal work out for calves. just the usuall increase weight as you can but get to a comfertable weight where you can lift with your calfs about 12-15 reps 3 sets. Increase as u can. however agian strenth more than size overall. and STRECH keep strecthing daily it increases the amoung of mobility..acceptaince to growth and nurtrients
