  • In my garage, because its cheaper for me to buy an oil filter, how ever many quarts of oil, and crawl under the car then to take it to a shop. I recommend it if you understand how to do it, have the tools and don't mind getting a little dirty. Takes about 15 minutes max.
  • i have mine changed @ my uncle's quick change. it takes only a few minutes.and they keep a record of your services.i've had every change there since i've owned the vehicle.when i sell my car.i'll get a complete list from him to show i've changed my oil every 5000mi as recommended.it helps greatly on resale value
  • Wal-Mart (which is about the only time I go there). They are fast, inexpensive and I've never had a problem with them. Yes, I would recommend them. ☺
  • My driveway. Partly because I ALWAYS remember to reinstall the drain plug, partly because I know what viscosity oil my car really needs (not what it used 200K miles ago), and partly because it's ~$10 cheaper. Yes, I recommend it. It's surprisingly simple. The hard parts are not being scared of the car and not getting any on your hand when you pull the plug. My folks were both mechanics and I wear a latex glove.
  • My brother... His name is Jay... and he is really good... I would recommend it because all you have to do is buy him lunch... LOL
  • When I have a car that hasnt been smashed yet I change it myself in the garage :) I highly recommend it.lol
  • I get mine changed at a Valvoline Lube Center not far from my home. It's not that I mind changing it myself. As a matter of fact, I enjoy that sort of thing sometimes, and actually find turning wrenches to be very theraputic. I drive a diesel truck and it holds 14 1/2 quarts of oil. That's quite a bit of oil to have to carry back to the auto store to dispose of,Plus there's a GIGANTIC old filter to dispose of. I know the owner of this place, and he has good employees and I feel that I can trust them with my vehicles.
  • I take my car to our local walmart store. It is not a super walmarts, and they always vacuum the carpets and clean the windows. They also check all the fluids, to make sure they are up to par. If any are low, they will fill them up for free. I always use mobil-1, it costs a little more, but I can wait until 5 or 8 k, before I change it again. When I was well, I would do it myself. I would recommend Walmarts..Good Luck..
  • My husband changes the oil in the car, then he takes the used oil to be recycled at a place here in town that takes used oil.
  • I get mine changed at the Valvoline place on the corner by my sister's house. Yes, I would recommend it, they are fabulous and I get lots of free stuff (remote control mini cars and stuff).
  • i well change it on the authorised servising center only so that i get good oil quality and same time good general check up from the aothoriseed servising center
  • I get mine done at a Chevy dealer becasue if i have any problems they take care of it and its under there warenty so i have no worries. Oil changes will keep your engine clean and almost running like new.
  • I usually go to Walmart...but lately I've given thought to changing it myself! I am going to research it and see just how much I might save!
  • I do it my self cause its easy if they let me i would work in a oil change place cause all u do is unscrew a bolt let the oil drain out put the bolt back on take off the filter with your hand put the oil back where the cap says oil and get back driving again.
  • Do it myself.
  • I have been taking my current car to the dealer because they do a very good job at a reasonable price.
  • We've always done it ourselves. IT saves a lot of money and gets done more often since we can afford to do it:-)
