Yes. I don't really have any, (I don't cook much anymore), but my niece has all kinds that are really interesting. I love the big books with all the pictures in them. She's always trying new dishes. Love it! :)

Yes, I love reading cookbooks. Anything to do with cooking really. I actually have a cook magazine on the bed next to me. =)

No, I do not think I have ever done more than look at the photographs, although i have some fantastic cookbooks. This may of course explain why I cannot cook.(Do not cook)

I do that with on-line recipe sites like www.crisco.com Be Blessed!!!

No, but I read dictionaries and encyclopedia like that! I have a hard time putting them down. I think it is weird but that's the way it is.

Well, I always knew I wasn't the only one! I have a lot of cookbooks that I've read through but never made any of the recipes. I do have another friend who practically has an entire library of them. I DO actually use some of the recipes, though.

There are certain passages of food-porn that demand to be read and re-read. A particularly fine example is in 'Mastering the art of French Cooking' by Child et al. It is a description of boning a duck, making a pate with the meat, restuffing the (more or less) intact skin, wrapping it in pastry, and roasting it. I have a friend who is an enthusiastic dissector of poultry and he made a similar dish using an ordinary chicken. It tasted good, but it was as solid as lead. I think I will resist the temptation to make the Child recipe, but from time to time, I will, no doubt, re-read it and enjoy the product in imagination.
