I do all the time!

I'm right handed. If I need to do something with my left, I stop to think about it. Otherwise, it's a natural.
-
For most of the time it is unnecessary except where the thread is reversed such as lug nuts.
-
Yes.
-
Um me... I say it out loud too LOL
-
Guilty.
-
Yes - but only when the screw or nut is opposite to me - that is, when I am reaching in behind what it is holding together to loosen it. Good question : )
-
Me, I do.

It helps me everytime.

Oh yes.

I've not heard that one before! I learned that you can make an L with the forefinger and thumb of your left hand. (It doesn't work with the right hand.)

It comes in handy when you are lying on your back under a vehicle and reaching into a spot you cannot see to turn a bolt that is facing another direction. Once you get a hold of it you have to realize which way to turn it so you don't start tightening it. Most people don't have trouble with it standing up and facing it though, that would make you a bit slow on the take.

The first time I heard that expression I was about 25. My husband was working on his car and when he said this out loud to himself, I nearly laughed my head right off.

Just now

When you are upside down under a car, sometimes it gets confusing OK???? lol.
