yeah. When I was in high school, people thought I was the rich, athletic snob that had everything. I read a paper that I wrote in an English class once about my family, and how my home life was anything but "perfect". Some people really started treating me different, and some of the kids even apologized.

Yes. They asked, "What is the highest level of formal education you have completed?" I answered, "I dropped out of high school with the 10th grade completed and a few scattered courses from grade 11 ... went to work as an industrial first aid attendant at an isolation camp for an oil drilling rig ... Since the first aid guy does absolutely nothing but check the oxygen pressure and inventory the band aids, I spent 11 years rig hopping while taking courses by correspondence ... I finnished my high school eqivallencies and went so far as getting five university science degrees, including a Ph.D. in math" ... Then they asked, "So, you are a high school drop out with a Ph.D. ???" ... I replied, "Yes, strange, isn't it?" ... and YES, they treat me better now.

Once, long ago. A lady that I worked with didn't like me because she thought I was a young punk. (and I was) But later after talking with me, she took a liking to me and introduced me to her family in Japan where they took me on a tour of Kyoto.
