Wheat roll, mustard/mayo, pepper-jack cheese, olive tapenade, lettuce, cucumber, onions, pepperoncinis, vinegar/oil, salt/pepper and some bean sprouts. Serve with vinegar/salt kettle chips and an Orangina.

Had to come back because I remembered my second perfect sandwich. Fresh white bread, cold butter, and thick slices of leftover pot roast with some of the gravy still on it. Pickles and chips on the side again. YUM!

Start with fresh whole-wheat bread, spread mustard on one slice, mayo on the other. Then add copious amounts of ham, roast beef, salami, pepperoni, turkey and chicken breasts, no less than FOUR kinds of cheese (I tend to use American, Swiss, provalone and colby/jack), making sure it is in equal amounts to the meats used, lettuce, dill pickle slices and sauteed onions and green peppers. Serve with your favorite beverage (I prefer a nice British beer - Guinness serves when Boddington's is unavailable) and a generous amount of potato or corn chips. It's the classic Dagwood.
