Ohhhh yeah. It was such an awkward high school scenario. He had friends who were pressuring him to hold my hand and I had friends pressuring me because we were so awkward yet cute together. We were both really, really nervous, but when it finally happened (after we went to Prom together) it was great :)

I can rememeber the anxiety I felt holding a boys hand for the first time and I am an old lady.I was so nervous he probably is feeling nervous also.Try and relax and enjoy the moment of being together.It will get easier with time.

I was very nervous funny story about that she was the woman I eventually ended up marrying and almost 11 years later divorcing but the funny part was I didn't have my first real kiss with her til we were nearly married. We were invited to some friends for dinner a couple of months before the wedding and up to this point I always had kissed her hello or goodby on the cheek. This one night after leaving our friends house and walking her to the bus I went to kiss her goodbye on the cheek as usual she turned to me said enough of this crap we are almost married and gave me a big wet juicy one right on the lips. I gurantee you I wasn't shy after that lol

My first girlfriend we where very nervous. We ended up holding hands under a pillow on my friends couch so know one would tease us i guess, haha. Young love is funny.

Yes i was a bit nervous the first time i held her hand. It happend last year just few months before my marriage. I had been near to her working place to pick her up for dinner and as we sat in the cab and were chatting, lot of things were going on in my head, i wanted to hold her hand, after maybe around half hour of chatting i could'nt wait, as she was sitting beside me i just took her hand and held it to my chest and said...I love you very much...you mean a lot to me! It was a great feeling!

Omg yes. I was thinking of all the weidest things like what if my hands are dry. What if he doesnt like how short my nails are. It is a natural thing to do.

oh yeah! but the trick was to not let him know it...i had no idea it was comming cause it was our first date but he took control and i really liked that. it became less awk. and when he wasnt holding my hand it felt like i had to be holding something..

haha yeah! me and my ex are both runners, and we were in this huge crowd with a couple thousand people at the starting line of an 8.15 mile race. I remember there were just a bunch of different kind of people around us, nobody we knew that was for sure. i had been thinking about holding her hand for so long, then at that moment, a minute or two before the gun would go off I just grabbed her hand. I was afraid my hands were too sweaty or too cold haha. we just kept talking as if nothing had happened, but she was smiling alot and so was I. I also got excited if you know what I mean haha. Then the race started and I lost her in the crowd, she kicks my ass at running =) that was one of my most memorable days
