I keep hearing people say 'love is the strongest emotion.' Why is love stronger than hate or another emotion?

I think it's a battle between love & hate. There is only so much you can do to show a person you love them but there's so much more damage you can do when you hate, especially to yourself

Love is the strongest emotion because it is natural to us. Hate is learned, and once it gets ahold of a person it never let's go, but sinks deep in your soul and eats away at all the love that was born within. We can't let that happen! Learn to find love in everything and everyone, and it will find you and bring you back to where you started.

Nah, I would think that love is the purest emotion. It is, indeed, hard to find (and even harder to keep). To some, there are stronger emotions. And anyone who has personally felt what is true helplessness would be ready to question that theory ('love is the strongest emotion'). I believe that if love were the stronger emotion, it would merely be one of the strongest emotions--the other being fear.

I don't think ther is anything stronger then love, love can create hate but hate isn't stronger. Love will always conquer. If you look in history love has started wars and ended them. Hate would be a very close second maybe, but that would hold true of any emotion.

Truth Kindness Goodwill Acceptance "Love" can be used to cover a lot of crappy things..might include jealousy/envy/betrayal/abuse/isolation..all in the name of "love". Some people"love" by suffocating the loved one..some "love" by controlling. Love is a very tricky word,kdp, very tricky. People use it all the time for very selfish reasons and harm others in the process. Some stalkers believe they love the person they stalk! :) ((hugs))
