I believe there is a fuse, also there would be a relay, both probably under the dash or wherever the fuses are located on the car. Also a lot of vehicles have a safety switch that shuts off the fuel pump when the vehicle has been hit,on a ford it is usually under the passenger side floor mat.Don't know if any of this helps.

look in the trunk for whats an inertia switch, it shuts the fuel pump off in case of an accident , but a hard bump will set it off to.you just have to reset the switch and start up
