  • Ever since he threw a bat at Mike Piazza I've had some issues with Roger Clemens so I'm never sorry to see him lose! However, I admire his intensity.
  • I enjoy seeing Barry Bonds have batting slumps, just because he's a bit of a jerk. I don't really worry too much about whether he wins or loses, because frankly he doesn't really care whether he wins or loses, as long as he hits home runs and looks like a star. I have also taken a recent dislike to Carlos Zambrano, I think he is something of a surly and troublesome character... but that might just be a passing phase I'm going through, I might get over that one. One I probably won't get over is Shea Hillenbrand... as a Bluejays fan, I think he was a bit of a **** with our club and left us in the lurch somewhat last year. Subsequent events have made me very happy though - Hillenbrand has stunk, had a spell in the minors and been released from at least one club, and is now hitting .220 or something lousy with the Dodgers, whilst the unknown reliever the Jays were pretty much short-changed with in the panic trade they did to get rid of Hillenbrand has turned out to be an excellent closer! So I am always pleased when he has a bad game too :)
  • I think the player so many people love to hate is Barry Bonds. I kept hoping he'd end up on the DL so he wouldn't break the HR record. I wouldn't have a problem if he didn't act so damn arrogant and cocky all the time. He comes across as a complete jerk. I went to a game in July here in St. Louis, and every time he came to bat, everyone booed him. I don't think he even cares.
