I don't wear one but I have one.. being aware of time makes me obsessive and I enjoy life less. Looks like a 'Casio Pathfinder'.. kinda cool, solar powered, moon phases and day of moon cycle (important to me and hard to find), solar compass by inputting longitude.. not bad for a half-yard.. but still a gift.

I have a storm watch with a bright blue face. My boyfrind bought it for me and I love it apart from the fact that it has no numbers or marks on the face so I cant easily tell the time on it.

Good question. It's from the National Audubon Society, and other than having pictures of birds at 3 (House Wren), 6 (American Robin), 9 (Song Sparrow), and 12 o'clock (Northern Cardinal), that's all it says.

It's a run-of-the-mill digital Casio watch with calendar. I bought it because I had simply had enough of being misled by wrong clocks. Clocks on buildings are often neglected. Clocks in cars rely on the car battery, so you can't trust those without having to keep track of what your family does with the car. Clocks on computers can be unreliable, and any computer clock will be wrong if the computer synchronizes it with a network whose clock is wrong -- and I have had experiences with such clocks that were wrong by tens of minutes. Once, because I did not want to wear a watch, I ended up writing my own special timekeeping software -- yes, the problem really was so bad that I had to write a computer program just to tell me the right time. (This was for use in a classroom without wall clocks.) My watch is digital because I have had too many bad experiences with unreliable analog watches. Digital watches can have their own problems, but in general, these problems are less common than with analog watches, and when they do occur, they are easier to notice. It is also digital because I like how the calendar function takes care of itself, even leap year, without me having to reset it. It is so much easier to have one wristwatch that shows the right time and that you trust than it is to have half a dozen clocks in different places showing different times and that you don't so much trust.
