How can you tell if someone is taking files from you? How can it be prevented?

They can only take files from you if you have a filesharing program (can't tell from the question if you do or not.) with limewire, there is an option to not allow incoming searches. even if they can take files from you, it is only the files that you have put into the shared folder, so you are still in control of what is available to them. (at least with limewire, that is what I have...I don't know about the other programs)
