Yes, I would want someone to tell me. I would speak up. I once was visiting San Francisco and I ran up to a lady to let her know that her skirt was caught in the top of her pantyhose. She was very glad I told her. She is a lawyer and was on her way to court.

I would want someone to tell me and Yes I have told a friend although in a very delicate and gentle way that he had an issue with body odor he appriciated it

Sure would. If they don't have the freedom to tell you and help you embarrass or shame yourself, who would? I would want to save my friends from inflicting bad breath or walking around with dried drool on their face. That's one of the things friends are for, it's called helping and caring for people. I'd do it politely and with tack if I was concerned for a stranger.

Yes, I would want to be told. And yes, I have told people..especially at work when you are working with the public.
