I don't spend anything on skin care products. I don't use them. My parents blessed me with excellent genes and at 58, I have a lineless face. The rest of my body doesn't look bad, and I don't parade in a bikini, although I have been told I could. There is nothing wrong with aging from my perspective. I am damn proud of my age and am more secure in who I am now than I have ever been in my life. Great question! +points

We've unfortunately been raised in a society that has taught us to be vain. Through media and advertisements, told us that only thin and young and beautiful is best, and old, not-so-thin and "plain" is not. I have colored my hair (and still do) because I went prematurely gray (in my early 20s...before my mom even went gray). I did inherit my mother's oily skin, which, even though I still have blemishes at my age (44), I have very few wrinkles. Most people guess me to be much younger. And the only reason I lost a bunch of weight was because of health issues, not vanity.

In a society where beauty is considered to be the only thing that gets you noticed by the opposite sex, no, I don't find it odd...stupid, yes, but not odd when we are a society that approves of such thinking and sterotyping.

I also worked very hard for every wrinkle. Women and their creams are only fooling theselves (if they are)? What is wrong with getting older anyway. I am happy not to be 25 again!

It's one thing to take care of your skin. But all that botox, plastic, bullshit is terrible. Honestly I wish someone would tell these women when you do that, you look frightening. Literally if I woke next to you I'd be scared you were a ghost. Not pretty.

Age one must. Aging gracefully should be the mantra. Use skin care products to keep the skin healthy. Not for making yourself look younger. Age gracefully.
