  • Tis so
  • Tis the truth..
  • I think it's fairly accurate.
  • There's more than an element of truth in it, but I don't think it's comprehensive. Having something to say doesn't mean what you have to say is worth listening to, and sometimes fools come out with a pearl of wisdom without knowing.
  • Dr.Laura falls under the fools she talks cause she has to say something, not something to say.
  • I think Geroge Bush falls under the fools catagory and I know many would agree with me lol
  • A persons wisdom or lack of it comes out in the volume of their life not in sound bites from tv. my guess is that Dr Laura and President Bush individually have both done more good for more people than the the combined lives of everyone conmenting or askling this question. Even a fool is thought wise if he keeps his mouth shut. But where is the fun in that?
  • I think that Plato was a very wise man who encountered many fools in his lifetime. I also think based on that quote you could conclude that wise men speak less than fools. Did you know that Plato was a nickname, given to him by one of his teachers, because he had "very broad shoulders"?
  • It's as true today as it was in his time!
  • But the trick is to figure out which you are listening to!
  • It's very true, but when can you tell which is which is the question. You see my reply as a very in depth and detailed one, but how do you know it is not just to say something? In other words, wisemen talk because they are intending on something happening by saying what they wanted to. Example, he says what he wants to better someones life, or help a group of people. It doesn't even have to be good, it can merely be to corrupt a nation, or turn people against eachother. An example of that would be the Joker from Batman. He may be evil, yet in a way, he is wise. A fool on the other hand, has no purpose in what he says. It's merely to get attention, or make himself stand out. Another way to show he's a fool is saying something completely pointless, like, "dogs are fuzzy". Now you tell me, was my answer the words of a fool, or of a wiseman?
