Having kicked the habit of several drugs over the years, (yes, I have an addictive nature), Oxycontin has been the hardest without question. It is the physical addiction that makes it so difficult. The psychological dependency has never really been that difficult for me. I guess I will try the suboxone. Anything has to be better than to literally feel cold and hot at the same time. To curl in a ball and not want to move. And, worst of all, even the laughter of little children hurts you so bad you want to scream. Now, when even a faultless child's laugh makes you want to puke, there is only one way to describe this drug. Evil. Only evil hates the wonderful sounds of laughter and joy. Only evil can make you want to kill yourself even though you know the pain will pass. I wish the best to all those in pain. I wish all those who with honesty are going to try and kick this evil out of their bodies. To those that are still on the Oxy train and lie and manipulate anyone who comes across their path, I can only say, I hope you find the truth and think of others before it is too late for you. I you can not. Then you belong on the other side. This is war, and Oxy does not take prisoners. It robs you of your money, your self worth, your family, and it takes away any joy you use to know. Here is to the day when a childs laughter will once again make me smile. God bless those that need him.

I disagree in fact I say that after 8 years and being off for 3 months I am just about back to normal. You didn't mention factors like a persons age? and most importantly 'chemicals' in the persons body? Do you smoke? Drink? take antidepressants? other medications? I took only oxycodone/oxycontin over a span of 8 years starting a very slow intake and building it over time to about 800mg/day of this poison.. after several truly horrendous nightmares/visions I lowered this over about 2 years to completely off the oxycontin and only on the oxycodone (which is less potent) 200mg/day. After a final blow to my Soul a dream vision pushed me over the edge and I detoxed with a fierce display of precise reduction over 2 months until I was completely off the opiate on a very light benzodiazipne .5mg/night for sleep of clonopin.. did this for 3 months and tapered this down to zero (0). Having been a non smoker, non drinker non drugger all through this addiction.. I'm sure paid dividends.. Say no to drugs.. they will surely lead you to Hell- and when you find out that Hell is real it will be too late. Why take that chance? The only pill I now take is a daily vitamin. Hallelujiah! It has been done and can be done. Good Luck I hope everyone finds Jesus out here.. it's not an easy find for some but I wish you all Love in your journey!

READ THIS BE STRONG SMART QUIT THE SAFE AND CORRECT THE RIGHT WAY. THIS IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST AND SAFEST WAY.

Excuse the harsh attitude of this text but i know a lot about this and i get fed up with the weakness and stupidity of the average person who comment on these sites who want to buy in to all of this suboxone and methadone rehab bs , you clowns should really check the relapse rate using those methods and realize its a means to take your money , sell u opiate receptor meds and turn this short battle into a prolonged money draining epic war. You will notice these people will always give the power of addiction alot of hype instead of hyping the human will to overcome anything. The fact remains these drugs make you weak spirited and you have to keep active to kick them if you just sit in bed or wonder around the house it wont happen UR PUTTING YOURSELF IN A SITUTION WHERE U HAVE TO MENTALLY OVERCOME SOMETHING BUT YOUR GIVING YOURSELF NOTHING ELSE TO KEEP YOUR mIND BUSY. Good old will power and loosing all friends doing it is the way to go. Friends will dangle the carat in front of your face and test you. You need to be strong. Most people love to get others involved in their recovery and im against it , if you cant do it on your own you will only relapse, at the end of the day you monitor yourself and you need to be your own parent on this. All of this said if you cannot be strong enough to do the above then just give up because you are weak and lazy, period. however if you are strong and were just riding a wave of getting high for the time and are ready to stop here is the safest and most logical way of doing it. First you must remember oxy is a time release drug and the withdrawl is bad so prepare to be uncomfortable but if you follow this there will be no severe depression and misery. First off it makes no sense to use anything to wind yourself down except what you winded up on,the downside is it takes discipline, real hardcore discipline, but if u dont have discipline u will relapse so man up or forget it. 9 out of 10 people reading this most likely break the pill down to get thefull mg's all at once . so the first thing you are going to do to quit must be to stop this and start using the precision time release provided to us by perdue pharma the lovely people who make this drug. You will use this to stop your opiate receptors from experiencing the huge peaks and valleys of getting the rush all at once and coming down fast. So here is our guide lines so far.

    REQUIED FOR SUCCESS IN RECOVERY

A - keep busy and get away from friends who use
B - Ween down on the same thing u weened up on (this way we do not pretend to quit or think we quit using subs or methadone. This is only replacing one bad habit with another and it just pushes the addiction off to another day.
C-Ween down by taking the pill orally and not crushing it this will almost instantly move u closer to quitting safely.
D- Try and exercise drink water and gatorade for electrolytes and look up some foods that are good for the brain and keep eating them . ex. tuna , banana. But mainly get as many good sweats in and keep HYDRATED.
Now you say. "how the hell do i do this?" .... Here is how- first you analyze how long uve been using and how much. Its never too late but just an overall guideline of the amount of time this would take is this.
Below I will list the term of usage and the estimated ween time and full recovery time associated with using for that amount of time. These stats are personal experience over prolonged years of experience based on the average method of use which is breaking the pill down if you are using as directed it will take half as long as snorting anone third to one quarter as
long as shooting. So here it is.
It is possible to quit cold turkey but not safe these figures represent a safe ween down and recovery time span i will later explain exactly how to taper safely.

    TIME SPAN

    40 mgs used daily

3 months of use- ween 1-2 days - full recovery after a month of stopping
6 months of use - ween 3-7 d -full rec. about 1 months after stopping
1 year use- ween 10-15 days- full recovery 2-3 months after stopping
2 years use -ween- 20 days- full recovery 3-4 months after stopping
3 years of use- ween 1-2 months- full rec 6- 8 months af stopping
4 years of use - ween 3-5 months - full rec 9- 15 monthsaf stopping
5 years use- ween 5-12 months- full recovery about 2 years

    80 mgs used daily

3 months of use- ween 1-4 days - full recovery after a month of stopping
6 months of use - ween 7-10 d -full rec. about 2 months after stopping
1 year use- ween 20-25 days- full recovery 4-5 months after stopping
2 years use -ween- 1 month- full recovery 6-8 months after stopping
3 years of use- ween 2-3 months- full rec 10- 15 months af stopping
4 years of use - ween 6-7 months - full rec 18- 36 monthsaf stopping
5 years use- ween 8-12 months- full recovery 5 years to never

    160 mgs used daily

6 months of use - ween 14-20 d -full rec. about 3 months after stopping
1 year use- ween 40-60 days- full recovery 8-12 months after stopping
2 years use -ween- 2 month- full recovery 13-20 months after stopping
3 years of use- ween 2-3 months- full rec 25 months to possibly never
4 years of use - ween 1 year - full rec 30 months to possibly never
5 years use- ween 8-12 months- full recovery will likely never be achieved

    240 plus mgs used daily

6 month use- ween 25- 30 days- full recovery 6-8 months
1 year use- ween 40-50 days- full recovery 4-5 months after stopping
2 years use -ween- 2 to 3 month- 1 year - possibly never
3 years of use- ween 7-9 months- full rec 2 years to possibly never
4 years of use - ween 12-18months - full recovery years to possibly never
5 years use- ween 2 yrs - 3 years to never

At 320mg usage daily plus for years and years you are fucked! in this case suboxone will likely need to be used as dopamine replacement for life almost as a / and or along with , mood regulator drug.

Keep in mind this varies person to person and there are always medical freak exceptions to this , some people will just genetically have major edges over the average person when it comes to recovery. As far as these figure go full recovery is defined as a 95-100 percent return to the health mood and energy level you had before u ever used a drug without taking any other drug for mood or energy. Basically full recovery is you have no doubt in your mind you are totally back to normal and u feel great with no depression. With years of heavy use this becomes impossible to achieve. Long term addicts without meds can suffer from depression, anxiety and a feeling of emptiness and a lack of energy for the rest of their lives. So dont let it get that far. The figures above also to not apply if you went in and out of usage either they are just a good guideline to go by. Prolonged breaks make a major difference for the better in terms of damage to your dopamine receptors.

    TAPERING

Now you taper by taking the amount you were using daily and evenly and gradually dropping down to about 10-20 mgs on the last weening day within the weening time frames outlined above for your level of use. Use a pill utter to come up with accurate mg pieces. U must only use unbroken pills or chunks of pills orally to do it. NO MORE SNORTING OR SHOOTING , NO CHEATING THIS TAKES WILLLLLLL POWER. ALSO YOU ARE NEVER SUPPOSED TO BE HIGH OR FEEL GOOD YOU SHOULD ALWAYS FEEL A LITTLE DULL OR EVEN KEEL OR WORSE THIS IS NOT MEANT TO BE PLEASUREABLE. ALWAYS TRY TO RUSH THE PROCESS IF U FEEL OK AND CAN BARE IT THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH TAKING LESS THAN YOUR PLAN IF YOU ARE NOT SUFFERING FROM HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE OR OTHER UNHEALTHY PHYSICAL SYMPTOMS. The unbroken pill will give a graduate opiate supply almost like methadone but better because you are not weening on a different substance confusing your brain. The weening period is meant to be the quickest frame of time needed to quit without sending your system into shock as shown above this period should be between 2-15 percent of your total usage period for light users and 5-25 percent of total time u abused the stuff for heavy users.

Hope this helped only you can save yourselves

to not take it at all. I have been in recovery for 8 months after using (and yes through college with a degree) for 14 years. I tried snorting oxycontin two 80 mgs the first time 5 years ago (if any of you are in recovery or have knowledge of it it is hard but I wanted my life back ) i now have it back but it is a dail struggle. I go na/aa meetings weekly, work a program, have a sponsor, and am blessed to be surrounded by people who never gave up on me....please just don't even try it. Seek out a addictions counslor (for those of you who really are tired of bieng sick and tired...)you can do anything you put your mind too but you have to WANT to do it...drugs ruin lives..exspecially if illegal taken (not under care of doctor) they can still be abused..good luck to you...sincerely.....kse

The suboxone is truely a miracle drug!!! its godsend!! i have been on it for 3 weeks now and have never even thought of pickin up the oxy's again. well wait thats a lie i have thought of it but once you realize how good it feels to be normal again then you will see its hard to go back to the lifestyle of being sick and tired of being sick and tired! some of you may say there is nothing out there that can help me, Im to far gone, all things i said but i have beat this addiction. trust me i am going from 600-900mg of oxy a day to about 8mg of suboxone a day now and i feel wonderful! the help of the medication is phenomanal but people if you really want to beat this you can do it! it takes mind body and SOUL!! good luck and god bless

I'm currently eating 320 a day. Take it for pain management, dosage crept up and up until I started crushing them. You really don't get a choice in this by the way. It will always happen to anyone taking these long term. Daily use of any opiate will mean addiction and associated withdrawal. But I have to say, that all these posts about God's help, suboxine, and all the rest of it make it sound ridiculous. It's a bitch drug, that's for sure, but the reality is that you're only a week or two away from feeling better when you're off it. I'm not saying it's easy, not at all, but like anything else if you want it bad enough you'll endure what it takes.

All the people offering advice give good pointers. But each persons detox will be as unique as their usage was. The important thing is to pick a method and give it a shot. Failure doesn't make you loser. Stopping to try does. Eventually you'll hit on the right mental mindset, the right combination to get off, and it'll be done.

I'm getting off in the next month, had enough of the train ride with the withdrawal symptoms. But I've gotten off before, so I know it can be done.

For those complaining that the drug is the devil. Well. It is and it isn't. It's just a drug, your actions and how you used it may have been influenced by your belief in the devil. But it's just a drug. People choose to take it incorrectly. For someone like me in chronic pain I say it's a godsend and I wouldn't give up that year of comfort for anything. I'd even go so far as to say a year of being able to move is worth the withdrawals you have to endure.

All substances that make you feel better just borrow time from the future. Alcohol is the same, you drink it, enjoy heightened senses, more energy, next day you pay it back. You take Oxy for a year, you have a bigger debt to pay.

So suck it up, and remember it doesn't take that long to pay it back.

my experience with this drug was that after 8 years on this prescription medicine- I have to say to everyone DO NOT EVER TAKE THIS MEDICINE FOR ANY CHRONIC PAIN INJURY. IT IS NOT A MEDICATION IT IS A DRUG, PERIOD! Don't listen to doctor's they are no different than drug dealers on a corner today. It's about money, money and then money! Save yourself the destruction of your mind, body and soul. I am 100% serious about the soul part too!

But! if you are on this drug and are addicted to it you need to get this out of your body and it won't be easy - how I did it? Well like many others who go down this road Jesus got me through this. Oh boy it would take a Miracle .. well anyway.. here's how I did it aside from jesus' loving help- I tapered and weaned.. never took another full pill after the day I made an unbreakable decision to myself and I put this day out there a day when I didn't take 1 mg of this drug that first 24 hours I put out there and I went for that day never looked sideways, back or down.. yes I looked up, and yes I looked straight ahead to that day. You break the pills you shrink the dosage every single day never taking more the day after the day before, EVER! If you are ready to get off you will do this with your Will. I did.

Good Luck- Jesus Helps with this because drugs are a tool of the devil to get the souls.

    Do it, everyone!

I broke this 8 year addiction (actually for Jesus after a dream) in 8 weeks. Halleluliah my Saviour- I thank you forever and ever! I pray for everyone else too they will Love you as much as I do!

off this now 4 months.. I sneezed a million times.. I used the drug to get off the drug.. when down to 5mg/day I switched to a benzo after discussing it with my doctor.. tapered .5 miligrams of clonopin after a/b a month.. started to break that down too.. it's like the pills use you when you're on them... but when you're truly ready to get off them.. you begin to use the pills against themselves to wean you and keep you from suffering.. Your body will adjust but you have to give it no choice. My motto was suffer the days and sleep the nights. Amen.

I decided against detox centers, methadone (was offered this by my doctor) etc.. because of all the horror stories I read online of people being strung along in a detox setting and being put on other drugs that were just as addictive and were on them for 10 years? This was my choice to get off this myself I did use a benzo at the very end at a very low dose and tapered that as soon as was possible regarding being able to sleep. Everyone has to make their own decision with how to go but i wanted off drugs, not off and then on another for 10 years. So consider these things because even detox is a business.. research everything yourself if you can or try to get someone you know to help.. everything is out here on the internet/google regarding addiction and getting out of an addiction.

My doctor put me on fentyl patches the after that was roxycodone aka oxycontin. By the time I knew I was in trouble with this evil drug it was too late. The withdrawls and I just went to my primary dr said I had a problem and what was going on with the pain management problem. I was put on suboxone. Its a great drug thats away the withdrawls but you have to be on it for they say 4 to 6 months I weaned off in about 5 months. You will know if its too soon. You will start to feel sick. I went from 8mg to 4mg the 2 mg then cut that in half and did it in likek 7 to 10 day intervals 1mg then a crumb then when I had two days off I planed to stop that I woke up and felt crappy for a day then it was gone. Im doing great today.I dont even have all the pain that I had while on the drugs. good luck it was a tough road but I did it. no rehab no na meetings. after getting off that drug if your that stupid to put it back in your mouth then you do have a problem

Best way to get off oxycontin is to wean you way down until you can do 7.5mg (1/4 of a 30mg) 4 times a day. Then make it 3 times a day, then 2 , till its gone.

Another way is to use poppy tea to wean yourself off. It WILL work but take longer, for you will have to wean off of the tea, which is much easier I must say.

But above all, if u have this info, u need determination. U need to really want to get this evil out of your life once and for all. God Bless all of you going through this struggle!

i agree with sdot9999 with the suboxone. what i have learned the best way to detox off oxycontin or any other opiate is take the following drugs for a 7 day detox.

    Mornings- 6-8 mg of Suboxone
    2 ativan 2mg
    1-2 soma 350mg

    Afternoon- 1 ativan 2mg
    1 soma 350mg

    Night- 2 Restiril 15mg
    2 ativan 2mg
    2 soma 350mg

you must keep cutting down on the suboxone 1mg a day or what you feel comfortable with. cut down on the Ativan in the mornings by day 3-4 to 1 ativan 2mg.
you should stick with the afternoon dose and the night dose. this worked for me there will be some withdrawl from the barbituates but nothing compared to an opite withdrawl. I hope that this will work for someone out there.

Suboxines really work yes, but u can also become dependent on them to. First off u only need to be on suboxine for a week or a week n a half tops. You need to start off with high doses and then by day 3 go from a whole tablet to half take a half for another 3 days, then switch to a half of a half for another 2 then for the last day take a tiny little peice off of the half of the half and you should be good to go.This is the exact way i kicked oxycottin i did 120 milligrams a day for about 2 years. This whole process takes about 10 days to feel really "normal" again it takes 5 - 7 days to actually detox from the physical symptoms. If u cant sleep i suggest to take trazidone its a non narcotic sleeping aide and it works wonders.Suboxine can also become habbit forming but they shouldnt if u follow my instructins The Sean Jones method. I suggest finding NA meeting in your area they give u great motivation and everyone there has problems to good luck n god bless!!!!!!!!!!

Try doing some research and finding a doctor that does a suboxone or subutex they have a list here:
    http://www.suboxone.com/hcp/pharmacists/pharmacists_faqs.aspx

My friend used it, I took care of her while she detoxed and the suboxone takes away almost ALL withdrawl symptoms AND more importantly claims to chemically made you not crave or even want to take the drug. The intial first days of treatment you will be a higher doses because your both is detoxing but after a while they start weaning you but slowly to make sure to keep those cravings away! If you do a LOT OR intervenus (which the other answerer ASSUMED, even though I known about 100 who used oxy both occasionally and on a daily basis/addiction manor and NONE have done it with a needle) SEE A DOCTOR it can be dangerous for your body to cold turkey if you do a lot and can be deadly if enough was used for a long enough time.
Hope this helps, best of luck!

I am going to take a wild stab in the dark and assume that you haven't been using it legally, wisely, or according to the instructions and you have become addicted to it.

In the event that you have been using Oxycontin under the supervision of a responsible doctor for a medical condition, there are no problems associated with stopping it. If you have been taking small doses, 80 mg a day for example, you can simply stop taking it without any complications. If you have been using higher doses for a prolonged period, over 300 mg for example, you may need to step down to a lower dosage before you stop it altogether. Discuss this with your doctor.

If you have not been taking it legally and are addicted to it, you should get in contact an addiction counselling service. I would advise you to first contact your own medical doctor and obtain a referral from him or her. It is a logical and necessary first step, as an addiction is a whole pile of no fun. This is extremely important, as there is a risk of you contracting a disease like hepatitis or HIV if you have been sharing with *anyone* else. Do not trust anyone's claim that they are clean. A lot of people with say that just to get access to the needle. Get your blood tested for diseases that can be transmitted by sharing - both your life and someone else's may depend on it.

If you are afraid to contact your personal physician, there may be community-based programs that you can take part in where you live. You absolutely need to be assessed by a physician, regardless of which route you take.

Kicking a habit is tough work and, if possible, you should solicit assistance from your family. They can help if both parties really want to make a go at it. Good luck.

I was on oxycontin for about 6 years for my pain and I was taking 40 mg 3x a day and July 2010 I went in and talked to my doctor telling him it was time for me to wean off this so he asked me how my pain was and I told him it is time to really find out how it is and I am tired of this running my life. My doctor put me on the 20 mg and he had me do 5 a day for 7 days and then 4 a day for 7 days and so on until nothing and today being the 20th of Sept 2010 I am oxy free and my pain is there but I will deal with it. I am so thankful I am off of it because I was laid off my job the 9th of Aug so it was a blessing that I chose to do this because no way would be able to afford this without insurance. I will say it was hard and you don't know how tempted I was to fall back to taking my reg dose but every day I told myself I can do this and I will do it.
I would wake up in middle of night with horrible leg pain and sweats like no other and stomach cramps and diarrhea and I even felt like the flu was coming on and in the back of my head a little voice kept saying take a 40 mg and you will feel better but I knew I had to be strong and say no even though it hurt me inside and out and what I mean by that is my body felt like it was trying to turn inside out and no matter what, I could not get comfortable so I would get up and stretch my legs and walk and elevate my legs and sometimes that would help but most of the time I would end up in tub of hot water and that was the best ever. It only lasted for about 5 days and then it seemed to get easier. I now have been oxy free since the 31st of Aug and I feel wonderful. I do still have lots of pain but I am finding that Ibuprofen works good enough to where I am not screaming but I am worried about winter because that is when my pain was the worst but we will deal with it when it comes but I can promise I will never ever go back to the oxycontin. Oxycontin was the most horrible drug in the world when it came to not taking my pill on time because my body would hurt so bad that I wanted to cry until it kicked in, so it almost controlled my daily activities. I think back now and it makes me angry that my doctor did not tell me what being on it so long would do to me and how hard it was going to be to get off of this. I want to say to anyone that is using this medication make sure it is short term because it really is hell getting off of it and it does affect your life and you daily activities. I no longer have oxycontin in my home it has all been thrown out and I feel back to normal. I want anyone who is taking this medication to know they can get off of it but under the care of your doctor because if not and you need help you will end up going back on it and that is not what you want to do. I say we need to get rid of this medication or only use it for short term because it is an ugly world coming off of it. Please feel free to email me if you to talk..lujanluvshugs@aol.com

well, the irish man and the guy that tells you to taper are right, but the suboxone is just a trick. I'll say it again, its a trick. If you want to take it, it works, but get off it within a few days of taking it or you will need it forever. I just relapsed and my life is going down again, so the taper thing sounds more realistic, because i used to do a 40 a day by swallowing it whole, and once i crushed it up, i immediately did 1 1/2 - 2 a day, and when i did 40 orally i did need it as much as i did when i sniff it. So i will try, otherwise i'm screwed, my life is on the brink of disaster if i don't.

i was on oxy for over a year at first i was in love with this drug i thought it was the greatest thing, i started with doing it on weekends than it became an every day thing due to the withdrawls and thats when you either walk away or become an addict. at first i wld snort 30-40 mg and i would be on a good one, than i was doing 80-100 mg in a day and wld barely feel anything. i realized that i was only doing oxy just so i dont get sick and withdrawl, i lost so much money to this evil ass drug, i lost my entire life, i had such a good job, a great car, a great girl, i lost it all due to this evil drug, if there is anyone out there that reads this please learn from my mistakes and stop now while you can, there are people that are on it for years and its harder than to get off i was lucky to get off after a year of that bs, its like your trapped i was no longer happy, i couldnt do anything unless i had oc because i didnt wanna be sick, i thought about suboxone before but wasnt sure if it would work i thought i was to far gone the worst part was that i couldnt imagine being with out the oc, a good friend of mine found me subs and i started using them, subs are really a miracle drug they are gross but they work no withdrawls no being hot and cold at the same time and no hating life!! you actually feel good by day 2 knowing your already 2 days clean, trust me my friends it will be so worth it knowing your off that shit, free yourselves find suboxone and get off oxy for good, there is a trick though you have to really want to get off this shit you really have to be determined and want to stay off, have that mentality, second you have to have faith for all you ppl with no beliefs or belief in God the Lord of all worlds sorry to say this but your wrong and your on the wrong side, open up your mind and heart and believe that all this is happening for a reason as humans we are the greatest in the Lords creation, let us with our faith our mind our soul fight this terrible disease called addiction, i hope my story helps someone in need out there, someone that is really gonna listen to my words and get clean not for my sake but for yours and your loved ones. My prayers are with you always, good luck and also what helps is taking walks, playing hoops, anything to keep your mind off it even poetry, with that said id like to share somthing i wrote during my mission to get control of my life good luck to you....

in the end my friends, it was all an illusion
came to the conclusion that in the game of life,
    i was losing.
i had to chose between improvement or drug abusing
between the movement of me moving or staying stupid
if not now when will you stop?

I am going to tell you the truth about how to get off and i am a real pain management patient who has had my right leg infected with something called Necrotizing Fasciitis (look it up). After that i have been in the most pain that a person can feel physically and messed up mentally with depression and anxiety because my entire life has changed and it only took one day and there is no way to tell how i got the infection, it just happens when a certain type of bacteria enters your body. With that said I was on hydro morphine for a while in the hospital then coming out i was put on oxycontin 80mgs and oxycodone IR 30mg for breakthrough pain 7 months later and still on meds but not oxycontin cause that stuff was extremely addicting and i wanted more and more. I have sat down with the best pain management doctors in the worls out of LA California and this is what you do... set up an appt with a phyc doc. Then tell them you would like to be set up on a suboxone program you will need to go through some pain for 16 hours of not taking any pain meds then start a suboxone program. The example i will tell you about is about someone i cared about as a friend and this is his short story.. He was taking 30 80mg ocycontin, yes 30 of them a day how ever he could snorting whatever and very addicted went 24 hours without, started with 3 8mg suboxone every 12 hours and within 2 hours of thishe was feeling much better and able to function without pain or withdrawl amazing. after the first day he said there was no more pain at all within the 4th day he said he felt great and even had a buzz from the meds wich helped him with cravings. he was on it for 6 months and has never touched anything in the opiate field again :) awesome. now me i started taking morphine sulphate much better i take 200mgs ER 2 times a day and have hydrocodiene for brack though and i am feeling much better not as much ups and downs with the meds alot more steady... I hope that this info helps someone and good luck
