well the altruistic answer is to say that I would try to save them...but I'm afraid that I might just freeze. I guess no one really knows what they will do until it happens.

I would take a split second to assess the situation. If I realized that there was no way to pull them out of the way or stop the car in time, I'd pull out my cell phone and call 911 then start first aid. I've been in this situation (except that there were people around), and knew that there was no way to prevent it. So I yelled "call 911" and ran over and held the girl's head between my legs to make sure she didn't move (she was on a motorcycle with her boyfriend and they got hit). I pointed at individuals and told them what to do. Instinct took over and within 5 minutes there were two ambulences on site and they took over. Her boyfriend was OK, but she went face first into a telephone pole and her face was pretty messed up. She was alive, and I'm guessing she made it. I had a paramedic ask me if I was OK, and I said yes, that's when I realized I had her blood all over me. He thought I was injured. I asked for some alcohol wipes, cleaned up, and went home.

I would hope that I would try to stop them getting hit, by yelling a warning or pushing them out of the way. However, in the actual heat of the moment you never know how you will react - I could just end up rooted to the spot unable to do anything.

At the very least I would yell out warning or push them out of the way if I was near enough.

I would push them out of the way.or pull them to safety.I dont care if you are my worse enemy I would save you because I do have a careing heart and help regardles of you are a man or a woman fat or skinny short or tall healthy or not healthy disablity or you dont have a disability rich or poor, any color under the sun I dont care, I would help you regardless of any thing because we are all human and even an anmial I would save.

Yell a warning. For the very young or very old I would risk my own safety but the average person should comprehend a warning.

If I were close enough I would push her out of the way if not then I would yell for her to run.

i would try so save him even if i costed my life because if i did save him/her costing my life i would have the satifacory of helping out(tho most people wount beleve me...)

depends... if its too late... ( i know when its too late) do nothing... if theres a bitty time... jump and push the person off the street..

I would get out my cell phone and be ready to call 911. Accidents happen quickly and if I was aware it was about to happen, it would most likely be too late to physically do anything. I'd probably open my mouth-wanting to scream a warning-but be silent and wait to rush to the victim and see if there was anything I could do until the medical help arrived.

If I honestly knew at that moment that the stranger was about to get hit, I would either yell, "get out of the street!" or if I could safely and effectively do so, I would run out there and push him out of the car's way.

Try to help as much as possible. If I think I could save the person from getting hit by the car, I would try my best to save them.
