is Yacht racing a sport? Anyway, horse riding I would say. here is why ( or at least for English riders)............ Helmet- $200 Saddle- $1650 Bridle-$100 grooming stuff- $50 boots ( for horse)- $40 show jacket- $150 show boots- $200 paddock boots- $50 breeches- $75 show bags- $125 Boreding fee- $500/ month fee per show ( rated show)- $650 trailer- $3500 feed/ hay- $100/ month heavy duty truck to pull the trailer- $24000 last but not least a show horse- $50000 winning your first show- priceless, haha. so this is pretty expensive yeah? =)

Im going to have to agree with whittyjumper, i use to ride horses until it got to expensive for me to pay for all the shows. At some points shows can get up o 600 for entry fee and thats not even including all the fees that go along with it. But in the end theres always the glory of winning the money =)

Either football or hockey. The equipment costs are alot.

I'd say Hockey. I had a friend who got into it, and it cost him a few thousand just to get all the equipment.

well no doubt rowing is a very expensive sport i row for the augusta rowing club and dues are 350 a month for the adults and 200 a month for the juniors[high schoolers] im pretty sure that blows hockey and football out of th league. and the cost varies for what rowing club you are in also the augusta rowing club has one of the best gyms in the south

oh and i didnt mention the prices a single sculling boat can cost up to 13,000$ and the 8x can go from 10,000-25,000& and oars go up to 300$ each so yea its not cheap

Auto racing. Certain cars are easilly in the millions just for the R&D required, not to mention the cost of the actual car itself and the parts required to keep it running competitively.
