I would say stay in bed , drink plenty of fluids and you can get someone to pick you up some aspirin and cough medicine -- I've never heard of not being able to go to a doctor or hospital until your better + 5

Well, you can take cough suppressants, they won't cure your cold but they can stop the coughing and runny nose quickly so you can visit the hospital.
