i think that they have a good shot because of their age. i could eat my words but i dont believe that boston is going to have the firepower in the end because basketball is a game of attrition and they are not going to be too strong going into the playoffs. i really believe the team to beat right now is the lakers with their recent acquisition of pau gasol and andrew bynum and trevor ariza coming back right before the playoffs, which seems bad but i think bynum and ariza will be back in some kind of form or the playoffs because they wont need to play the minutes that they did before. the lakers have something that you need to be a great team in the NBA, depth. sasha will be coming off the bench, i think he would start almost anywhere, and you will have the second team to ignite the charge if the first team doesnt have it going. the lakers are a young team at first glance but they are led by a strong group of players which makes them play as if they were older, knowledge wise not physically. kobe, derek, lamar, and pau put together are a great core of players and can help carry this team. if kobe was able to get the lakers to the playoffs single handedly in previous years he will be able to lead them this time and not carry them. the lakers are going to be a force to be reckoned with come playoff time because of their depth, youth, and veteran leadership... not to mention they have kobe, objectively the best basketball player of all time.
