  • As wonderfull as budgies are, they are kinda "slutty", they will easily move on, and quickly bond to a new bird. this sounds kinda harsh but budgies have poor memories(compared to other birds,parrots ect.) and quickly forget about lost loves.
  • If a bird's partner dies, they will often grieve and look for the deceased bird for about a week (if it is more than this, there may be a problem). The bird will not die of grief though. They will probably be very happy with a new partner (as long as they get along).
  • They could grieve to death. Get it a new partner if it happens. :(
  • I don't know why this question was downrated:-( It's a sad time for the remaining bird but usually they will perk right up with company as they are very social birds and need others around them. So if you lose one, get another but be prepared for the remaining one to be a bit fussy and it might take a while for them to bond together.
