The problem with will power, is that it comes and goes. When you have no will power (which is half the time) the only way to get yourself to go to the gym (for example) is to make yourself accountable to somebody else. In other words, get a partner to exercise with you. When you do not feel like doing it, you will go anyway because you cannot let the other person down. Same with the food and eating - get a partner and do it with somebody - at the end of each day (or whenever), ask each other exactly what you have eaten that day. You need to find yourself a partner.

get a partner that you go to the gym with..it keeps you motivated to keep going even when you don't feel like it.

Ya basically will power. Sometimes its goals sometimes its something else, but in something like this, it takes will power. I suggest finding something to keep you interested while your doing it or maybe a sport you like. Makes it easier to do.
