  • This answer depends on the state in which you live. each state is different on the traffic tickets. in my state, your driving record is permanent. i believe the general rule, for the insurance question, is three years. again, each insurance company has their own rules hope this helps. end.
  • I got a ticket in North Carolina in August of 1988 and it is still on my record and shows up on every records check that i get. In 2 months it will be 20 years. I am sure that it varies from state to state, but with computers tickets will hang around a long time. It probably varies with insurance companies also.
