From a joking perspective - Men don't suck if they are straight and not near a breast or beer bottle. From a serious perspective - Not all mean "suck". Most men are decent, caring people. It is horribly sexist to suggest that they do. It smacks of misandrism.

All men do not suck. There are a large number of non-sucky men out there. There are just as many women that are guilty of the suckage trait. You're friend is a little bitter.
