  • First you should go to a vet and see the gender of the two new budgies. Then when that's confirmed, just seperate the girls from the boys in different cages.
  • Why don't you want them to breed? Is it because you don't want any more birds or because they are too closely related? Because most budgies will not lay eggs if they don't have a nest box. But that wouldn't stop them from mating or having sex. They just wouldn't have anyplace to lay their eggs. And if they did lay one on the bottom of a cage or somewhere around the house, you can just take the egg away and then they wouldn't set. It's not hard to keep them from making more young. However single birds make much better pets. Budgies are very quick to leave their person and accept another bird instead. Many prefer the bird in their mirrors to a human.
