if it was me it would depend on how long the training was for. if it is your dream job and you know you could manage for the training period then i would definitly take it. also you may be able to get some help with making your money up. also if you stick the training out you will have your dream job and good wages at the end. good luck :0)

I'd say go ahead and do it. I was in a similar position quite recently. I had a job I hated for an employer I despised and I've rarely been more miserable or depressed (working for governments does that to you, I've found). Unlike you, I can't claim my current post is my 'dream job', but it's many, many times better than the one I had. The pay cut is in the region of about £6,000 ($12,000) a year, but hopefully will only last for the first 2-3 months (6 weeks down, 6 to go). I had little or no savings, and in about a month they will be totally gone, which is where the abusive letters from the bank will start. I know that this will happen, but I wouldn't change anything. For the first time in 10 years I don't mind going to work, and that's worth a lot. If the financial problems don't become overwhelming, I can cope, and know I'll be much happier than I was.

If I got my dream job nothing would stop me from making it work. Can you take another job during that period. Find some other way to make money. Take 2 jobs nows and try to make money for then when you won't be making the money. Can you take out credit and when you are making more money pay it all back? Like I said I would stop at nothng to make it work.
