According to Mythbusters, and their experiment, it is. However, it was said that it was busted.

Rosie O'Donnell think's it has healing properties. She lets a dog lick her baby's behind when it has "diaper rash" and it goes away.

I don't lick "my" balls.
-
urgh i hope not considering what they go eating off the ground!
-
Yes, it is. It is because dogs do not harbor saliva in their mouths like humans do. They're carnivores, they don't need to do any breaking down of food in their mouths like humans, they break down large hunks of meat in their stomach. Human mouths are made to break down plants.

Yeah but there might be some misunderstood logic to it. Because we brush, our mouths are cleaner. But humans compared to dogs on mouths alone with no toothbrush, dogs are cleaner.
-
No Way!!!! thats why its so dangerous to get bitten by a dog, their mouths are full of germs and bacteria
-
Yes, they did this on Mythbusters and the human mouth had lots o more bacteria as a human mouth can maintain more types of bacteria than a dog's. They don't proliferate in a dog's mouth like they do in a human mouth. But there are sometimes more potent germs in a dog's mouth.
-
i read somewhere that that is false. They have some bacteria in their mouth that if it's present at the time they lick you, it can make you very sick! I will look that up and check back with you to be sure!
-
Not necessarily. In any case don't let a dog lick your wounds it can cause it to get infected. This is according to a veterinarian.
