  • I've had really good experiences with people from Washington state. I don't know necessarily about kind, but they're very nice. I'm a New Yorker. I will say people from this city get a bad rap. We're a lot more helpful and kind than we're portrayed as in fiction, or thought of as being. But Washingtonians still seem the nicest of all American states, in my own personal experience.
  • I would say Oregon.
  • I bet it will be somewhere that is predominantly rural.
  • Canada LOL!!! Sorry, I couldn't resist. I've found good and kind people everywhere if you expect to find them. I've found very nice people in New York state, I was surprised, but they are helpful and considerate, generous with their time and help. I have found them in the city and in the country. THere were very nice people in CA though most of those were far away from LA and the ones in our county I didn't like wee all from there and moving in:-) Rural people aren't always as nice as you think at first because many just want to be alone and don't have people skills but if you give them a little time they will come around if you don't prejudge them too quick.
  • Maine all the way. Alaska too. They're both very nice.
  • Nebraska. I've traveled coast to coast and met people from all over and have never met kinder, nicer people.
  • You know, I find it hard to choose. I have lived in 6 states and found the people to be incredibly nice in all of them. The only difficulties I faced were in small towns where everyone had been friends since they were children. But even in those towns, they eventually accepted me and made me feel welcome.
  • It's all a matter of opinion of course, but I've heard Alaska is full of nice people. So is Oregon, and even Maine.
  • I think that Idaho has the nicest people in the USA. I was in Preston , Twin Falls and in Jerome and I have to say that a number of the people there were so kind I was thinking “You’ve got to be putting me on”. LOL. They were so nice and cute.
  • Everytime I speak to someone from Minnesota, I always have a pleasant experience with them. They do strike me as genuinely kind.
