It happens to me at least once a week.
-
It happens to everyone who gives a lot of points to a particular person too often. You will be able to give this person points again soon.
-
i think there is a restriction on how many points you can give a member per week.
-
Yes you are going to be able to answer this person questions but you wont be able to give him or her points till next week.
-
It's happened to me before a couple of times.
-
Yes, it happens. It's frustrating, but the pop up window has a very polite and sweet message, so i dont mind, and you can rate him again next week.
-
Sure, there are 9 or 10 people who I can't give any more points to right now.
-
Oh yes, this happens ALL the time. Especially when I have been positrolling.
-
Happens all the time to me and it's usually the same people. But after a while, sometimes even just one day you can either give them points again, or go back and point the questions you want.
-
the staff probably thinks you are sexually involved and giving points as payment for sexual favors.. just kidding... happens sometimes... they have to put the brakes on somewhere or you could elevate someone to greatness too quickly or you could also bury someone with negative points
-
It happens to all of us..what you do is start giving extra smiley faces, or other things to signify a rating..it needn't be points. We each have levels of points we are allowed to give specific people..as your level increases, so too does that level of points you are allowed to award and the total number of points in a given period. You can go back and give points after time has passed..I do that all the time. :)
-
It happens all the time. It has yet to happen to me, but it will come soon enough considering I give out many points. Many ABers have maxed out on me. It is common.
-
I find it rather ridiculous, myself. there are some people (some of whom I consider friends) who do ask a lot of great, thought-provoking questions. why can't we rate ANY question that we find interesting and helpful...or something that we find amusing or makes us smile? sometimes a lot of them come from the same person. I don't up rate someone just because they are friends, I rate any good question (or answer) that I read. Isn't that what the rating system is for?
-
When does it not happen thats a better question. Haha a few days I found once I could not give anyone points because I gave way to many. Oh well free points for everyone I dont mind giving them out :-P
-
It hasn't happened to me, but I think I can guess why it does happen. The management has put a safe-guard in place to prevent friends from running up the points of other friends (or duplicate profiles of the same person)in order to protect the rest of us from cheaters. You should welcome this precaution, because it is in place to protect you as well.
-
We can rate users 25 times in a weeks time. It's not the amount of points you give but the number of times your rate. So in answer to your question, yes it has happened to me lots of times.
-
Yes there is and it happens at least once a week!
-
It happens to me a lot.
-
All the time. I'm usually out of points for a bunch of people.
-
There isn't anyone this week so far, but it does happen frequently. I really hate it too.
-
It happens a lot to me. I'm forever giving out points and there are a handful of people I have to wait a while to be able to give them points again. Remember, it's not a bottomless well:-)
-
Yes, i don't even pay attention that i'm doing it. lol
-
All the time. I really hate that little sign when it comes up, too. :(
-
Yes, quite a few of them.
-
yep, happens to me all the time. Its been many users...
-
Most recently, it was hanginjudge.
-
many times...I remember pattijo
-
Yes. A lot of people!
-
yes, on a number of people...I was just honestly answering their questions, however. I wouldn't favour anyone.
-
yes, it happens to me alotof times.
-
Its been happening a lot lately when I positroll.
-
All the time..you find someone whose questions you like so you keep answering them whenever you see them and after awhile your point cap for that person has been reached..this is done to prevent people from "rewarding" their friends. After some time passes, you can begin to give points again. It happens both ways..giving points to people who answer your questions all the time and giving points to people whose questions you answer all the time! :)
-
Oh yeah! Zack, Drastic, fancyfeast, Da Azian Boi, asweetguy, practically those on my friends' list who love to answer my questions ;)
-
Too many. I've broken my pointer on a lot of AB friends.=)
-
Yes, many times!
-
i posi-trolled lovehearts a while ago, and now it says i've given her too many pts.
-
A lot of times, let's see...I've done it to you, Troll, Ocean, Babycakes, Stayblue4life, ILMB, Punny, and a few others!
-
yes I got it answering Highlander's questions and used to with Payton's....where is he anyway?
-
napoleon and Sak
-
Yes, it sux!
-
many times I get the limit message maybe a dozen times a week.
-
No, but then I tend to point a question/answer on its merit......not the person who posts it......
-
I think we should all confront the powers that be about that! I idea is: the points system should change with the ranking - the higher the rank the more points you should be able to give
-
yes, whats up with that??????
-
guilty
-
yeah and I still don't understand why
-
Frequently. I tend to posi-troll people.
-
Guilty as charged!
-
Yes. There are several ABers who think much like I do. Therefore, they usually get points from me. After about 60 or so in a week (I really have never kept count) AB won't let me give them points for a time.
